One Piece’s most Underrated Filler’s.

The world of Anime is full of Fillers. If it’s Shonen anime stakes are even higher. Now in modern times lately, most anime are published in a season format. Episodes ranging from 1–13 or 0–24. But in olden times that wasn’t the case. The shows were going on and on and getting breaks in between so they would never catch up with Manga, a typical industry culture. Coming to the world’s Big Three anime i.e Naruto, One Piece, and Bleach. Naruto holds the most filler record with 220 fillers out of 500 episodes. The Second in the row is Bleach with 163. But One Piece is another matter entirely and there are some episodes which are widely considered One Piece’s most Underrated Filler’s.

There are 99 Filler Episodes in One Piece. Among which Episode 196 to 206 are best to watch. There’s a high chance that you might have seen it already thinking of it as a canon, but was Filler.

Fan Favorite Filler Episodes

It’s no doubt. The Marine Fortress arc is one of the most celebrated filler arcs in anime history. It aired during the golden times of one piece, Where fans got back to back stories like Skypeia, Marine Fortress, Water 7, Ennies Lobby and yeah some worthless shit canon episodes which everyone believed it to be filler but was canon. Many fans, not knowing Marine fortress was a filler, watched it in entirety and loved it just like canon. But there are other Filler’s of one piece which are quiet Underrated, let’s have a Savvy Look at What are they.

Filler Episodes that are Underrated.

Episode 131 To 135

This filler starts right after Nico Robin joins the crew. Though she was an enemy Luffy decides to accept her as a 7th member of the crew. In this 13 episode run, the first 5 are focused on the lives of straw hat Chopper, Nami, Sanji, Usopp, and Zoro. They might feel boring, but they are worth watching giving a glimpse at crew member’s personalities and past lives.

In Episode 131.“The First Patient! The Untold Story Of The Rumble Ball!” Straw lands on an uninhabited island. Where Sanji tells the crew that the island is filled with fruits. After drawing the straws teams are divided. Luffy, Zoro, and Usopp go in search of fruits. Whereas Sanji’s luck gets him tag along with Nami on exploring the island. Chopper is left with the duty to guard the ship. While remembering about his past with Dr.Kureha Chopper realizes that he was talking aloud and Robin was hearing. After some time Robin accompanies Chopper to refill the water, on their way Chopper tells Robin about Dr.Kureha and how she became her first patient.

In Episode 132. “Uprising of the Navigator! For the Unyielding Dream!” A Salesman on the Sea lands on Straw Hat ship, selling them Obscure stuff. While after sometime salesman realizes that he is on a pirate ship. He flees in panic leaving behind all is items. Nami realizes Salesman has abandoned is pile of papers. She can now finally begin drawing the world map her childhood dream. But Straw Hat Causes her trouble.

In Episode 133. “A Recipe Handed Down! Sanji, the Iron Man of Curry!” A navy cook, who’s just a boy ends up on Straw Hat ship after Robin saves Him. After Losing up, by having Sanji’s soup. He shares his problem of spilled curry. After Luffy and Sanji take him back to the Navy ship, Sanji gives the boy a Cooking lesson for life, and the next time Curry becomes fabulous.

In Episode 134. “I Will Make It Bloom! Usopp The Man And The Eight-Foot Shell!” while in search for gun powder Usoop meets Kodama. Where he helps her in making fireworks. Soon Usopp learns her plan to Fire second of two eight-shaku-tall firework balls, to fulfill her parent’s wish. Usopp first against it finally decides to help her and chooses a large building to successfully launching the large firework.

In Episode 135 “The Fabled Pirate Hunter! Zoro, The Wandering Swordsman!” Before joining the Straw Hat, Zoro was the Pirate Hunter, who traveled the world in search of Hawkeye Mihawk the Greatest Swordsmen in the world. In Zoro’s flashback, a man with a much higher bounty who led the bandits arrives in town. Inspired by Zoro two young men decide to take him down, but they are taught the lesson. To save the day Zoro appears and saves the two young men.

Episode 136 To 138 :

In Episode 136 “Zenny Of The Island Of Goats And The Pirate Ship In The Mountains!” Straw hats meets an old man called Zenni. Soon Straw hats realize that the island is only inhabited by old man Zenni and his goats and he was the one who attacked them. While hitting the old man Zenni’s heart stops. Straw hats carry him to his house nurses him and do work for him. When the day was about to end and straw hats were supposed to leave, Chopper reveals old man Zenni will die in three days.

In Episode 137 “How’s Tricks? The Designs of Zenny the Moneylender!” After that Straw hats decide to stay with him in his dying time. Days pass in work, soon Zoro realizes that three days have already been passed as stated by Chopper. But it’s too late Nami loses the Ship to Old man in chess, but due to Robin’s grace, they get it back. Everyone is Happy and the old man recalls his Younger days. Oldman says he is quite old now to be a pirate but his spirit is uplifted by Luffy, who says anyone at any age can be a pirate.

In Episode 138 “Whereabouts of the Island Treasure! Attack of the Zenny Pirates!” The next day, Marines lure straw hat into the trap, but the old man Zenni with his Goats Comes to Save the Day. After that Straw hats gives him ample medicine to keep him alive on his adventure.

Episode 139–143:

In Episode 139 “Legend Of The Rainbow Mist! Old Man Henzo Of Luluka Island!” After helping Old man Zenni, Straw hats arrives at a town that has a huge tower. Where they meet an old Scientist called Henzo, who asks them have they seen a Rainbow Mist. A large galley appears in the harbour which Henzo finds it familiar. Luffy, Robin, Usopp and Henzo aboard the ship. After that soon they discover the Rainbow mist. The group makes use of Going Merry to enter it.

In Episode 140 “Residents of the Land of Eternity! The Pumpkin Pirates!” After entering the mist. The group finds a ship graveyard. All scary to Usopp, but luffy finds a chest filled with gold and diamonds. Soon the voice order’s him return the treasure and leave the ship. The voice is of Pumpkin Pirates. Who got disappeared 50 years ago and who are also Henzo’s friends. Henzos reason for research too. All this happened when the pirate called Whetton appeared 50 years ago. To save their lives, kids aboard a ship, but Whetton smashes the ships helm. To save his friends lives Henzo, jumps to attack whetton and others are carried into the mist.

In Episode 141 “Thoughts of Home! The Pirate Graveyard of No Escape!” After children entered the mist, they followed the orders of lan the only pirate left their. he miss treats them, but after little bit of struggle the tie him up. The pumpkin pirates captain lapuni still suspicious of straw hats. Lapuni has loosed all respect for his friend Henzo, which he believes has no become Whetton’s lapdog.

In Episode 142 “An Inevitable Melee! Wetton’s Schemes and the Rainbow Tower!” Nami at the harbor, uses the device created Henzo to enter the mist. lan, who was tied up escapes with the ship and meet’s Whettons son and tells him about the treasure in the mist. Soon Whettons son orders his men to invade.

In Episode 143 “And So, the Legend Begins! To the Other Side of the Rainbow! Due to the turmoil , the huge tower falls, making a bridge to the mist. Whettons men uses it to enter the mist and so does, luffy and lapuni who were lost. Whetton destroy the tower, trapping everyone inside. Once again the gate for outer world appears , but it closes immediately trapping everyone again. Lapuni decides to blow of Navy armory, so that it would create the wind to take the ship out. Lapuni and friends stay behind, promising Henzo to meet him. Straw hat ship comes out of mist. To there surpirse navy ship is waiting led by ages Lapuni. Navy takes Whetton son into custody.

Episode 319

This Episode particularly have its own impression. In “Sanji Crashes! The Mysterious Old Man and Intense Cooking”. Sanji is walking sown the town grocery shopping for the crew with Chimney and Gonbe. Soon they are Hungry and they decide to stops by, the floating boat restaurant run by the old-man. But the old man is drunk and asleep. So Sanji decides to cook by himself, while cooking, old man gets awake and recognizes the way of Sanji handling the Carving Knife, which reminds Old man of Red-Leg Zeff. who is also the mentor of Sanji.

Old man, makes Sanji taste his cooked food, After cooking Sanji is left aback by the taste of Onigiri. Sanji couldn’t figure out what made the simple onigiri so special. After lot of searching and brain storming Sanji realizes it was Salt. When Aqua laguna hits the lower parts of city, during the summer the water evaporate and the rooftops are left with tasty salt.
